Driving directions to Ram Island landing

Northbound: Map - Portland to Damariscotta

I-295 North, past Brunswick exit 28 (old exit 22) to the very next interchange, exit 31 (old exit 24) Topsham, ME 196 East. Turn

Right on ME 196. Continue to its end, moving to the left, onto

US-1 North, past Bath, sloooooowly through Wiscasset, and finally arrive at the turnoff for Newcastle & Damariscotta. Look for the signs to ME 129, 130, and 215. Bear

right onto US Business-1. Map - Damariscotta to Bremen (Medomak)

Cross the bridge, pass through downtown Damariscotta, & continue for about 1.7 miles, past Hannaford's (on the right) to the light at MacDonald's. Turn

Right on Biscay Rd, which winds for 5.2 miles and ends at route 32. Turn

Left on ME-32 North for 1.5 miles. Almost at the apex of a sharp curve to the left, turn

Right on [Old] Shore Rd.
Continue at "Medomak" (below)


Southbound: Maps - US-1 & ME-32 at Waldoboro

Find your way to the intersection of US-1 and ME-32. Turn at the traffic light (left if you were southbound on US-1) onto

ME-32 South. Hannaford's should now be on your right. Continue south for 8 miles, past a gourmet food factory in an old red building on the left, then through (yes) a graveyard. Just past the apex of a sharp curve to the right (there's a warning sign), turn

Left on [Old] Shore Rd.


Medomak: Map - Greenland Cove

Follow Shore Rd for 1.5 miles, you'll see the water on your left & then Greenland Cove Rd. Turn

Left on Greenland Cove Rd. The gravel road will soon break out of the trees & curve to the left. Look for our sign, "Ram Island", & turn

Right between two large evergreens into our driveway and park on the right. If you can't find a spot on one of the raised areas at either end, park in the taller grass, being careful of the steep drop.
